- Region: Lombardia
- Typology: Garda Rosso DOC
- Grapes: Merlot and Rebo
- Aging: aging of the wine in 500-liter tonneaux and in 2000-liter wooden barrels for 8/10 days; refining in bottle for 5 months.
- Organoleptic characteristics: intense purple red color, almost blood, dense and compact, whose chromatic nuances border on the skin of aubergine. Clean and with a generous body, it shows its extracts with a tight and full-bodied glycerine mass dripping from the glass. The nose is a peaceful invasion of floral aromas such as cyclamen, violets and elder, followed by an explosion of fruity and spicy scents, above all blueberry and juniper. In the mouth, sweet and silky taste textures intertwine, between morainic strawberry, gooseberry and plum jam alternating in coordinated palatal balance with flavor and powerful structure. Slight notes of French oak essence evaporate quickly.
- Pairings: The food pairing with can be classic but also eclectic: grilled, braised and roasted red meats, or roasted turbot with potatoes or pasta and beans with fried shrimp, sweetbreads and stewed fifth quarter or octopus salad in Mille1.

The Pratello Agricultural Company has built an intriguing and multifaceted oenological reality. The premises are located in the heart of the ancient village of Pratello, where every phase of the transformation of the grapes into wine, from fermentation to bottling, takes place according to a passionate combination of local traditions and technological innovation. The cellar, completely underground, consists of a recently built area and a historic core in which the wooden barrels intended for the refinement of the finest reserves are kept. A fundamental value of the company is the respect for nature which, after a biological journey, has led it to face a subsequent step, that is to create its own processing protocol that takes into consideration not only the use of natural products in the countryside and cellar, but which respects the biodiversity of the vineyard ecosystems. This method is based on the use of renewable energy sources, on ecological compensation, on the energy efficiency of the vineyards, on the synergy between animals and plants. In continuity with the company philosophy centered on territoriality, the winery vinifies exclusively grapes from the Lugana and Valtenesi vineyards. The enhancement of native vines such as Turbiana, Manzoni Bianco, Rebo, Groppello and Marzemino, carried out in full harmony with the rules of nature, allows the company to develop DOC wines (Valtenesi and Lugana) and cultivate precious territorial-varietal resources such as white grapes of Riesling, Chardonnay, Manzoni Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc; and red grapes such as Sangiovese, Barbera and Rebo grapes – the latter used for the production of Mille1 wine, the flagship of the company.
