The Visconti family places its roots on Lake Garda about a century ago and has always had a deep bond with this territory, so much so that it was this family that believed in the potential of the Turbiana vine, an indigenous grape present in the area south of Lake Garda. , even before Lugana became a designation of origin. In fact, as early as the 1950s, the Visconti family, after several decades of activity, was preparing to make itself known as the first ambassador of what over time would become one of the most exciting denominations of Italian enology, demonstrating great foresight and confidence in the potential of Lugana, a practically unknown denomination at the time. The Lugana Visconti still continue to be produced with the vineyards from which they have been born for decades. Visconti brand wines (originating from vineyards on flat ground, where the clay is more concentrated and dissolved) retain their identity, linked to the territory and the characteristics of the land from which they are born.
